Art in the Park: News

The Lalo Guerrero school of Music received a 2010 grant from the Los Angeles Department of Cultural Affairs Music LA program for ten weeks of instruction starting Febuary 1 through the end of April in honor of African American Heritage Month. The classes are free.

The City of Los Angeles Department of Cultural Affairs has awarded Art in the Park/Lalo Guerrero school of Music a grant for African-American Heritage Month. The key purpose of these grant is to provide children with music classes in the respective cultures thus enhancing the children's knowledge of their own culture and others through music.This grant covers 10 weeks of instruction each and culmination performances.
